Work for Humankind is a bold initiative that called on volunteers from around the world to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: do your job from one of the world’s most remote islands, while helping to save endangered wildlife and empower a local island community.

The landmark project took working remotely to the extreme. Sending volunteers to one of the most remote offices in the world on Robinson Crusoe Island, volunteering in their free time, and harnessing the power of cutting-edge Lenovo technology. Work for Humankind has helped prevent the extinction of endangered species, transforming the island’s conservation efforts, and the perception of hybrid working for years to come.
