When global icon, mother to a trans non-binary child, and LGBTQ+ ally, Michelle Visage, chooses to share your behind-the scenes film and gets 1.6m views in just days …. you know you’ve made an impact.
But when you genuinely make a difference to both the people who work for the business and its customers… that’s what makes a campaign truly special. To cement its position as the most inclusive airline, Virgin Atlantic listened to its people and re-wrote its gender identity policy. It offered them the option to choose the (Vivienne Westwood designed) uniform they identified most with. Pronoun badges, gender neutral ticketing systems and inclusivity training for its people were also introduced to staff and crew. To support the hero film in the campaign, we produced, shot, and edited a PR behind-the-scenes film with Michelle herself, a bevy of influencers, and the trans and non-binary Virgin Atlantic staff who the policy means so much to. This film offers a sneak peek into the meaning of the brand’s ATL platform of ‘See the World Differently’ and helps cement the brand’s position as being the ‘most inclusive airline in the skies’.
